The Shevchenko Museum is an inviting new location on a growing list of specialized-collection museums in Toronto. Not only reflecting the life and work of the great poet, artist, and visionary, Taras Shevchenko, the museum also hosts a variety of exhibits related to Ukrainian and Ukrainian Canadian history and culture.

This upscale space is sure to impress your most discerning guests. Two contemporary galleries, library, kitchenette, studio, and kitchen facilities can be rented separately or in tandem, offering the creativity and flexibility to accommodate various private and corporate functions, meetings, social events, receptions, intimate concerts and recitals, classes, lectures, workshops, product launches, and more.

The Shevchenko Museum offers a beautiful, newly-renovated, barrier-free environment with contemporary décor and original works of art on the walls. Our state-of-the-art audio/visual equipment will allow you to create dynamic presentations for your training events and seminars or a special ambience with music and videos for your private functions. Maximum capacity for the entire museum is 110 guests.

The Gallery

The Art Gallery

The Art Gallery is a modern and spacious second-floor gallery, boasting clerestory windows with automated shades, a kitchenette, and an outdoor balcony. Host up to 48 seated guests for art, literature, music, film, and other group functions. Our contemporary art collections provide an elegant backdrop for receptions, seminars, lectures, small concerts, recitals, etc. Use with our optional state-of-the-art AV equipment to bring your next event to life.

This spacious, high-ceilinged main floor gallery houses the museum’s permanent collection and is suitable for private and public functions, presentations, seminars, lectures, discussion groups, meetings, and receptions.

The Library

The Library

Board meeting space with large table and seating for 10. Featuring warm, modern décor, and a boardroom table that seats 10, this collaborative space ideal for your next business meeting or small seminar. Access to adjacent kitchenette with refrigerator, microwave, and dishwasher included in your rental.

The Foyer

The Foyer

The stunning entryway and foyer at the Shevchenko museum provide a welcoming area to greet your guests. Create a check-in area or hostess stand, or take advantage of the glass storefront to announce your event or display art and merchandise. Included into the renting of other Museum spaces. However, it is available to be rented separately for small workshops, paint lessons, ect during after-hours or weekends.

The Servery
