As part of our ongoing series, ‘Shevchenko Museum Talks’, the Shevchenko Museum invites you to a virtual presentation at 2 pm on January 9th, 2021 (EST), by the Ukrainian textile artist Olha Pilyuhina who will speak on the tradition and development of Ukrainian tapestry weaving. Ms. Pilyuhina, an award-winning master weaver, incorporates folkloric images and employs traditional techniques in her contemporary tapestries and kilims.

The talk will be in Ukrainian, but even if you do not understand the language, we definitely encourage you to join in for the stunning images of Olha Pilyuhina’s colourful and stunning masterpieces which range from poster size all the way to the monumental.
